Additional Costs

1:03 Adding Data

Transcript

0:00 In this video I'm going to show you how to add an additional cost to an asset
0:05 within Asset Accountant. From the main fixed asset register screen simply
0:10 navigate to the asset you wish to add a cost to, then from the actions button in
0:15 the top right hand corner of that screen select the additional cost. This will
0:20 bring up a dialog box asking you for the date of the original cost, so I'm going
0:25 to select the date and an amount, so I'm going to add $1,000 to the value of this
0:31 asset, then I can type in a reason as to why this has been added. I can also
0:38 select whether I would like that additional cost to apply to tax and
0:42 accounts or just one of the regime. In this case here I'll add it to both of
0:46 them. If I add the cost you can see here when I scroll down the additional cost
0:52 of $1,000 has been added to the net book value of that asset with effect
0:57 from the date and a note there of the reasons to why that adjustment has been
1:01 made.
